Cogility® Insight provides a number of tools for reporting and analysis within the application environment. Due to the metadata rich environment provided by Cogility® Manager, the execution environment is fully knowledgeable about the business processes and business behavior that it implements. Thus, Cogility® Insight is capable of connecting to the execution environment and interrogating it to infer details about the business process and data structures that make up the composite application.

Cogility® Insight is browser based and allows access to the execution environment from remote locations.

Password Protected Access: Cogility® Insight’s Web portal automatically deploys to the effective J2EE Application Server at the time of model deployment. Web Access then provides the ability to create users, user groups and assign privileges. This functionality allows for powerful, flexible user management and prevents unauthorized access over the Internet.

Model Deployment History: Cogility® Insight Web maintains the history of model deployments, including model version number, date, and time and deployment details. It also provides the version numbers of the executable business logic pieces in the model. The ability to examine the deployment history and artifacts against J2EE makes it easier to debug the system.

Automated Database Access: Cogility® Insight Web provides access to the business data by automatically generating the required web pages to traverse the business model by using the metadata provided by Cogility Manager. The ability to execute user queries and information model association traversals using the automated persistence support in Cogility® Manager eliminates the need for working with database connection parameters or SQL.

Automated Business Process Tracking: Cogility® Insight makes it easy to view the status of any business process initiated by Cogility® Manager, through automatically created, meta-data driven web pages that traverse the process execution.

Automated Access to Business Web Services: Cogility® Insight Web provides automated access to all the deployed business web services that are defined within the Composite Application model. The Web Services interfaces are automatically generated using the metadata provided by Cogility® Manager. These features provide the ability to view and invoke web services deployed by Cogility® via automatically generated GUI interfaces for testing purposes.

Automated Access to Business Charts and Graphs: If the model has defined any special charts and graphs that are created from the execution data, Cogility® Insight Web automatically provides access to these by retrieving their details from the Cogility® Manager Metadata. Viewing aggregated statistics about the data in easy to use charts and graphs allows for a better understanding of what is happening in the execution environment.

Manage Execution Environment: Cogility® Insight Web provides access to the different versions of business processes that are present in the execution repository, as well as the running instances of those processes and their completion status. It also enables cleanup of completed processes. and the ability to see if older versions of business processes are still executing, since Cogility supports long lived business processes that can persist across deployments.

Display Web Service Definition Language (WSDL) for Deployments: Cogility® Insight Web displays the WSDL of all Business Web Services deployed by Cogility® Manager. The WSDL exposes details about Cogility deployed web service interfaces to remote systems that must access them in a standard format. Remote systems that interact with Cogility can easily determine available interfaces for communicating with Cogility.
